Education Apportunity in Europe

Bradford University

nternational Students

With 22% of our students joining us from over 110 different countries, we are used to giving newcomers to Bradford a very warm welcome.
Visitors to the city often comment on how friendly the local people are, and this atmosphere continues when you get to the University campus. You will find a diverse mix of people from different backgrounds, faiths, nationalities and ages all sharing the closely-knit city centre campus. This mixture of people in a compact space creates a vibrant community atmosphere where lifelong friendships are made between students from all over the world.
Our International Office (now located within the Hub) was recently rated the the best according to an independent educational research group.
Our expert staff, along with their team of international student ambassadors, are on-hand from your first contact with the University, right the way through your studies and beyond.

Our students say . . .

"I chose the University of Bradford because of its very good reputation. Living costs are also very low here which was very important to me."
Daniel Xie, BSc, Economics
"It's really great that the International Office organises trips to different parts of the UK for international students. It gives us an opportunity to appreciate so much more of the UK."
Cindy Rose, MA Peace Studies

Fees, Loans, Bursaries & Scholarships

Higher education is one of the greatest investments you will ever make. The knowledge and skills that you graduate with will open doors to a brighter and potentially richer future.

Undergraduate students

Higher Education is now free at the point of entry making it accessible to many more people.

Tuition Fees

From September 2006 universities in England have been allowed to vary the fees they charge new students. The majority of universities are charging the maximum fee of £3,290 (for 2010/11) and fees will not rise by more than the rate of inflation before 2010 at the earliest.

No up-front fees

The changes to the Higher Education funding system that took place in September 2006 ensure that no new full-time undergraduate UK or EU student will have to pay fees before they start university or whilst they are studying. These students will be eligible for a fee loan to cover tuition fees (this loan is on top of the standard student loan for maintenance which is only available to UK students). This means that they won't have to find the money before they start their course or whilst they are studying. Students will repay these loans once they have left university and are earning over £15,000p.a.

Support - loans, bursaries, scholarships and funds

We have a comprehensive package of support for our undergraduate students including bursaries, scholarships and funds. Full details are on our Tuition Fees site.

Investing in Your Future Booklet 2010/11

The information in this booklet supports this website and is for students who will be starting courses at the University of Bradford after September 2010. It will also be useful for their families and advisers. This booklet will help you to understand the various costs associated with higher education and the financial support that is available to you from the Government and from the University of Bradford.
