Fees, Loans, Bursaries & Scholarships
Higher education is one of the greatest investments you will ever make. The knowledge and skills that you graduate with will open doors to a brighter and potentially richer future.
Undergraduate students
Higher Education is now free at the point of entry making it accessible to many more people.Tuition Fees
From September 2006 universities in England have been allowed to vary the fees they charge new students. The majority of universities are charging the maximum fee of £3,290 (for 2010/11) and fees will not rise by more than the rate of inflation before 2010 at the earliest. No up-front fees
The changes to the Higher Education funding system that took place in September 2006 ensure that no new full-time undergraduate UK or EU student will have to pay fees before they start university or whilst they are studying. These students will be eligible for a fee loan to cover tuition fees (this loan is on top of the standard student loan for maintenance which is only available to UK students). This means that they won't have to find the money before they start their course or whilst they are studying. Students will repay these loans once they have left university and are earning over £15,000p.a.Support - loans, bursaries, scholarships and funds
We have a comprehensive package of support for our undergraduate students including bursaries, scholarships and funds. Full details are on our Tuition Fees site.Investing in Your Future Booklet 2010/11
